How to Set Up Linksys AC750 Router?

It is very easy to set up a Linksys modem router. You either need to access the 192.168.1.1 IP address or use the Linksys app. Here’s how you can install the router:

Hardwire the LAN port of your modem and the WAN port of your Linksys AC750 router.
Reboot the modem and switch on the router after that.
Once done, connect PC to the router’s LAN port using a LAN cable.
If the Linksys router login page does not open, go to linksyssmartwifi.com.
Log in to the router and assign an admin password.
Set 2.4GHz and 5GHz network settings.
Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed with the further installation process.

Note:In case you are using the Linksys app for the setup process, you should ensure that the app is working on the latest version and your mobile phone is connected to the Linksys router network. The default WiFi network name is mentioned on the product label.

How to Set Up Linksys AC750 Extender?

You can complete Linksys wireless AC750 setup for range extender with the help of the WPS method. The steps are mentioned below:

After unboxing your WiFi extender, place it in the router’s room.
Switch on the extender and press its WPS button.
This will initiate the connection for the 2.4 GHz band. Thus, press the router’s WPS button within 2 minutes.
Once done, move to the AC750 extender and press the WPS button again.
This time, the 5GHz connection will be established.
The setup is completed and the extender can be relocated.

Just in case your router lacks WPS configuration, you need to use the extender.linksys.com URL for setting up the range extender. This method is called the Manual method and you need to access the extender’s web GUI in this case.

How to Update Linksys AC750 Firmware?

Modem Router: If we talk about, the modem-router’s firmware, it gets update from the backend only. Therefore, you need not worry about a firmware update for the AC750 modem-router. It will automatically get updated.

Extender: Unlike Linksys router firmware update for modem router, you are supposed to download the firmware file of the AC750 extender manually from Linksys Support Center. After that, you need to upload it on the web GUI of the extender via the path – Administration > Firmware Upgrade > Manual Upgrade > Select File > Save.

This is to inform you that you must not interrupt the firmware update process for your router or extender. Otherwise, the firmware might get corrupt and your Linksys device will become non-functional.

How to Reset Linksys AC750 Extender/Router?

You might need to reset your Linksys device if you are facing continuous issues while using it. This will revert the device’s settings to their original values. It means the extender/ router will start running on the values given in the user manual. Given below are the general steps that will help you perform a factory reset on your Linksys device:

Ensure that your Linksys device is turned on and is not sharing connection with any device.
Get your hands on a paper clip.
Using the paper clip, press the Reset button of the Linksys device.
Holding the button for 7 seconds straight will complete the reset process.
