What Cross Band Settings and Features are?

Understanding Cross Band:
In these settings, the device will receive signals on one channel and transfer them on another channel to duplex communication. Have a look on this image to understand it;
You can use only one in-between 5GHz or 2.4 GHz channel and you should first complete the Linksys extender setup.
Note: it works on only Linksys extenders and it is advisable that you should leave it on auto.
How to Activate Cross Band Settings?
To reach the Linksys cross band settings, you have to access the Linksys web interface, which you can do by following these steps.
- Connect computer/laptop to the Linksys extender network.
- Open web browser and search extender.linksys.com or IP address 192.168.1.1.
- You will get to the login page and enter credentials to access extender interface.
To reach to the cross band settings;
- Go in to the Settings> Advanced Settings> Wireless Networks.
- Here click on the Cross band option.
- In it you will see Auto option and manual option.
- Select the Manual one.
In the manual settings, you will see four options which are; non-cross Dual band, Cross Dual Band, 2.4 GHz Only, and 5 GHz only. Select one to start the cross band.
You can easily activate it after the setup, you can learn it from the Linksys RE6300 setup.
